Excerpt from The Life of John Collins Warren, M.D, Vol. 1 of 2: Compiled Chiefly From His Autobiography and Journals

During the time of his second visit to Europe, he kept an ample journal, which he carefully revised and arranged after his return home. This was in three quarto volumes, but consisted in very large proportion, as was natural, of medical matter.

From the time his revision of the European Journal was completed in 1838, he kept what he called a Domestic Journal.
