PSALM C.-WATTS.

1 BEFORE Jehovah's awful throne,
Ye nations, bow with sacred joy;
Know that the Lord is God alone;
He can create, and He destroy.

2 His sovereign power, without our aid,
Made us of clay, and form'd us men,
And when like wandering sheep we stray'd,
He brought us to his fold again.

3 We'll crowd thy gates with thankful songs;
High as the heavens our voices raise ;
And earth, with her ten thousand tongues,
Shall fill thy courts with sounding praise.

4 Wide as the world is thy command;
Vast as eternity thy love;

Firm as a rock thy truth shall stand,
When rolling years shall cease to move.

PSALM CL.-MERRICK.

1 PRAISE, O praise the name divine,
Praise it with the hallow'd shrine;
Let the firmament on high

To its Maker's praise reply.
Holy, holy, holy Lord,

Be thy glorious name ador'd.

2 Let his acts and pow'r supreme
To your songs afford a theme;
Harp, and lute, and timbrel bring :
Wake to life each tuneful string.
Holy, holy, holy Lord,

Be thy glorious name ador'd.

3 Let the cymbal's varied sound
From the vaulted roof rebound;
Swell the organ; to his praise
All the pow'rs of music raise.
Holy, holy, holy Lord,

Be thy glorious name ador'd.

4 All who vital breath enjoy,
In his praise that breath employ,
And in one great chorus join,
Praise, O praise the name divine.
Holy, holy, holy Lord,

Be thy glorious name ador'd,
