Page 6. In the title of the portrait, for 'MATTHEWS' read 'MALTHUS.'
Page 201, line 15, for 'childless' read ‘attainted.'

ANCESTOR. VOL. VII.

The Editor having been absent from England during the publication of ANCESTOR
Vol. VII. asks the indulgence of his readers in the case of errors of proof-
reading, two of which are noted below.

Page 169. In the 9th line of the article on the Wrottesleys, for
'past' read 'part.'
