Q. How do they form the genitive?

A. They form it variously. Some change us into oris, as corpus, a body; gen. corporis, of a body. Others change us into ĕris, as, munus, a gift; gen. muneris, of a gift. And others change s into dis or tis; as pecus, a sheep; gen. pecudis, of a sheep: servitus, slavery; gen. servitūtis, of slavery.
