RENT RESTRICTIONS (NOTICES OF INCREASE) BILL.

Clause 1, further considered.

Another Amendment proposed, in page 1, line 6, after the word "rent," to insert the words "on account of the increase of fifteen per cent. permitted by sub-section (c), section two, of The Increase of Rent and Mortgage Interest (Restrictions) Act, 1920"-(Mr. John Wheatley).-Question proposed, "That those words be there inserted."

Debate arising: Mr. Attorney-General rose in his place, and claimed to move, "That the Question be now put."Question put, "That the Question be now put."-The Committee divided:

Amendment again proposed, in page 1, line 7, to leave out the words "whether before or "-(Mr. Duncan Graham).-Question proposed," That the words proposed to be left out stand part of the Clause."
