The third volume of the complete works of Renzo Piano (b.1937), one of the most acclaimed architects of his generation. A detailed presentation of projects of the early 1990s, including the Kansai Airport in Japan from its initial design to the finished building; the Lingotto Factory renovation, Turin; the Cité Internationale, Lyons; the Cy Twombly Pavilion, Houston, Texas; the Rome Auditoria; the Saitama Arena in Japan; and L'Ile Seguin and Le Grand Stade, Paris. Particular emphasis is given to Piano's innovative approach to lighting and curtain-wall construction.
