Seite xix - SYNOPSIS OF FISHERY LAWS. Net fishing of any kind is prohibited in public waters, except under leases or licenses. The size of nets is regulated so as to prevent the killing of young fish. Nets cannot be set or seines used so as to bar channels or bays. A general weekly close-time is provided, in addition to special close seasons. The use of explosive or poisonous substances, for catching or killing fish, is illegal.
