Allen Hobbs (July 30, 1899 - November 23, 1960) was the 32nd Governor of American Samoa from February 8, 1944 to January 27, 1945. Hobbs was born on July 30, 1899 in Lowell, Massachusetts. His mother was a sculptor named Louise Allen Atkins, and his grandfather Charles Herbert Allen, the first American Governor of Puerto Rico. He was an hydrographer with the Naval Hydrographic office in Suitland, Maryland. On March 1, 1953, Hobbs was placed on the Temporary Disability Retirement List.
