Vor allem durfte das Buch, wenn anders der beabsichtigte Zweck erreicht werden soll, keine Stücke enthalten, die schon in kritischen Bearbeitungen vorliegen, weil sonst die Versuchung, sich in irgend schwierigeren Fallen dort unerlaubten Bathes zu erholen, gar zu mächtig wäre. Ich mußte also insbesondere auf ungedruckte Stücke bedacht sein, und glücklicher Weise standen mir solche in hinreichender Anzahl zu Gebote. Von achtundzwanzig Numern, die mein Buch enthält, sind nur fünf schon gedruckt (nr. XI. XIV. XVII. XX. XXIV), aber vier davon (xi. XVII. XX. XXIV) aus andern Handschriften, die nun als willkommenes Material zur Text herstellung benützt werden konnen.
