405 Thine eyes shall see the King in his beauty: they shall behold the land that is

very far off. Isa. xxxiii: 17.

I There is a land of pure delight,

Where God the Saviour reigns; Infinite day excludes the night,

|: And pleasures banish pains.:||

3 No cloud those blissful regions know,

Realms ever bright and fair, For sin, the source of mortal woe,

: Can never enter there.:||

2 There everlasting spring abides, 4 0 may the heavenly prospects fire

God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Rev. xxi: 4.

I Safe home, safe home in port!

Rent cordage, shattered deck,
Torn sails, provisions short,

And only not a wreck:
But O the joy upon the shore,
To tell our voyage perils o'er!

2 The prize, the prize secure!
The athlete nearly fell;
Bare all he could endure,

And bare not always well:
But he may smile at troubles gone
Who sets the victor-garland on!

3 No more the foe can harm :
No more of leagur'd camp,
And cry of night alarm,

And need of ready lamp:
And yet how nearly had he fail’d,
How nearly had that foe prevailed!
4 The exile is at home!

O nights and days of tears,
O longings not to roam,

O sins, and doubts, and fears ; What matter now this bitter fray? The King has wiped those tears away.

Ye in me,

and I in you. John xiv: 20.

I Long did I toil, and knew no earthly rest,
Far did I rove, and found no certain home;
At last I sought them in His sheltering breast,
Who opes His arms, and bids the weary come :

With Him I found a home, a rest divine,
And I since then am His, and He is mine.

2 The good I have is from His stores supplied,
The ill is only what He deems the best;
He for my Friend, I'm rich with nought beside,
And poor without Him, though of all possessed:
Changes may come, I take, or I resign,

Content, while I am His, while He is mine.

3 Whate'er may change, in Him no change is seen,
A glorious Sun that wanes not nor declines,
Above the clouds and storms He walks serene,

And on His people's inward darkness shines :
All may depart, I fret not, nor repine,
While I my Saviour's am, while He is mine.
