Lord, increase our faith. Luke xvii: 5.
1 In Thy peaceful house of prayer,

Stronger faith, O Lord, we seek ;
Here we bring each earthly care,

Thou the strengthening message speak.
In our greatest trials we,

Calm, through Thee, the way have trod:
In the smallest may we feel

Thou art still our Helper-God !
2 Of Thy presence and Thy love

We more steadfast feeling need,
Till the high and holy thought

Hallow every simplest deed.
In our work and in our homes

Christian men we fain would be ;
Learn how daily life affords

Noblest place for serving Thee.

19 The Lord is in his holy temple, let all the earth keep silence before him. Habak. ii: 20. I God is in His temple,

Lo! I fall, in wonder gazing, Let us fall before Him,

I in Thee, Thou in me : And with reverence adore Him.

Let me thus but find Thee,
Lo! our God is present,

Leaving earth behind me.
Hushed all earthly feeling,

4 Make me simple-hearted, Every heart to Him be kneeling.

Patient, and enduring,
To His own He is known:

Safe at rest 'mid earth's al-
Gaze with eye adoring,

luring. Self to God restoring.

Lord, renew my spirit,

That in truth's uprightness 2 Lol our God is present,

I may see Thy glory's brightTo Whom, morn and even,

ness. Sing the cherubim in heaven.

So let me, up to Thee
Holy, holy, holy |

As the eagle soaring,
Angel-choirs are singing,

Live but in adoring.
Where tbecensers bright are swing-

5 Lord, come, rest within me, Lord, give ear: deign to hear

All my sins dispelling;
Humbler voices praising,

Make my soul Thy hallowed Songs on earth upraising.

There Thy glorious presence 3 Spirit ever present,

O do not deny me,
In whom all are living,

That I, too, may glorify Thee.
To all things their substance giving! Go or rest, I am blest;
Sea unfathomed, boundless,

Seeing and believing,
Mystery amazing!

Thy good gifts receiving.

I am the way, the truth and the life. John xiv: 6.

I Holy Saviour, Truth divine !

Dawn upon this soul of mine ;
Word of God, and inward light!
Wake my spirit, clear my sight.
Holy Saviour, Love divine !
Glow within this heart of mine;
Kindle every high desire ;

Perish self in Thy pure fire. 2 Holy Saviour, Power divine !

Fill and nerve this will of mine ;
By Thee may I strongly live,
Bravely bear and nobly strive.

Holy Saviour, Right divine !
Reign within this soul of mine;
Be my law, and I shall be
Firmly bound, for ever free.

3 Holy Saviour, Peace divine !

Still this restless heart of mine ;
Speak, to calm this tossing sea,
Stayed in Thy tranquillity.
Holy Saviour, Joy divine !
Gladden Thou this heart of mine;
In the desert ways I sing,
Spring, 0 Well; for ever spring!

They serve him day and night in his temple. Rev. vii : 15.

I Love divine, all loves excelling,

Joy of heaven, to earth come

down, Fix in us Thy humble dwelling,

All Thy faithful mercies crown. Jesus, Thou art all compassion,

Pure, unbounded love Thou art; Visit us with Thy salvation,

Enter every trembling heart.

2 Breathe, O breathe Thy holy

spirit Into every troubled breast; Let us all Thy grace inherit,

Let us find Thy promised rest. Lead us from the paths of sinning,

Take our load of guilt away ; End the work of Thy beginning,

Bring us to eternal day.

3 Come, almighty to deliver, 4 Finish then Thy new creation, Let us all Thy life receive;

Pure and spotless let us be: Come to us, dear Lord, and never Let us see our whole salvation,

Never more Thy temples leave. Perfectly secured in Thee: Thee we would be alway blessing; Changed from glory into glory,

Serve Thee as Thy hosts above; Till in heaven we take our place: Pray, and praise Thee without ceas. Till we cast our crowns before ing;

Glory in Thy perfect love.

Lost in wonder, love, and praise.

Dox. VIII.

Unto thee, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in thee. Ps. xxv: 1, 2.

1 To God I lift my eyes;

To those that with a heart sincere My trust is in His name;

To Thy blest will incline. And they whose hope on Him relies 4 Thou dost them safely guide Shall never suffer shame.

Who Thy direction seek; 2 From the first dawning light, And in Thy sacred paths wilt lead Till the dark evening shade,

The humble and the meek. For Thy salvation, Lord, I wait,

5 So may I still abide, And ask Thy heavenly aid.

Nor from my hope remove; 3 Through all thy ways, O Lord, Till Thou my patient spirit guide,

Thy truth and mercy shine, Into Thy perfect love. Dox. V.
