O that will be joyful,
Joyful, joyful, joyful;
O that will be joyful,
When we meet to part no more.

4 Teachers, too, shall meet above,
And our pastors, whom we love,
Shall meet to part no more.
O that will be joyful,

Joyful, joyful, joyful;
O that will be joyful,

When we meet to part no more.

5 O how happy we shall be,
For our Saviour we shall see
Exalted on His throne.
O that will be joyful,
Joyful, joyful, joyful;
O that will be joyful,

When we meet to part no more.

6 There we all shall sing with joy, And eternity employ

In praising Christ the Lord.
Ở that will be joyful,
Joyful, joyful, joyful;
O that will be joyful,

When we meet to part no more.

8s.

'That great city, the holy Jerusalem.'

1 We speak of the realms of the blest, That country so bright and so fair, And oft are its glories confessed;

But what must it be to be there!

2 We speak of its pathways of gold,
Its walls decked with jewels most rare,
Its wonders and pleasures untold;

But what must it be to be there!
3 We speak of its freedom from sin,
From sorrow, temptation, and care,
From trials without and within;

But what must it be to be there!

4 We speak of its service of love,

The robes which the glorified wear,
The church of the first-born above;
But what must it be to be there!
5 Do Thou, Lord, 'midst pleasure or woe,
For heaven our spirits prepare;
And shortly we also shall know
And feel what it is to be there.

6, 4; 6, 7, 6, 4.

• Thine eyes
that is very far off!'

shall behold the land

1 THERE is a happy land,

Far, far away,

Where saints in glory stand,
Bright, bright as day:

O how they sweetly sing,
Worthy is our Saviour King!
Loud let His praises ring,
Praise, praise for aye.

2 Come to this happy land,

Come, come away;

Why will

ye doubting stand,

Why still delay?

O we shall happy be,

When, from sin and sorrow free,
Lord, we shall live with Thee,
Blest, blest for aye.

3 Bright in that happy land
Beams every eye;
Kept by a Father's hand,
Love cannot die:

On then to glory run;

Be a crown and kingdom won;
And, bright above the sun,
Reign, reign for aye.

XIV. ANCIENT HYMNS.

GLORIA IN EXCELSIS.

GLORY be to God on high, and on earth

good-will toward men.

peace,

WE praise Thee, we bless Thee, we worship Thee, we glorify Thee, we give thanks to Thee for Thy great glory,

O LORD God, heavenly King, God the Father Almighty.

O LORD, the only begotten Son, Jesus Christ; O Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,

THAT takest away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us.

THOU that takest away the sins of the world, have mercy upon us.

THOU that takest away the sins of the world, receive our prayer.

THOU that sittest at the right hand of God the Father, have mercy upon us.

FOR Thou only art holy; Thou only art the Lord;

THOU Only, O Christ, with the Holy Ghost, art most high in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

TE DEUM.

WE praise Thee, O God: we acknowledge Thee to be the Lord.

*All the earth doth worship Thee: the Father everlasting.

To Thee all Angels cry aloud: the Heavens, and all the Powers therein.

To Thee Cherubim and Seraphim: continually do cry,

Holy, Holy, Holy: Lord God of Sabaoth

Heaven and earth are full of the Majesty: of Thy Glory.

The glorious company of the Apostles: praise Thee.

The goodly fellowship of the Prophets: praise Thee.
