Legacy of the late Miss Rebecca Knox. $18100 00 564 10 1222 00 630 00 The amount of this fund is $2,000, which was formerly loaned to the trustees of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church on their bond, but which has been repaid by them, and is now loaned on bond secured by mortgage on property in the state of New Jersey. One year's interest has been received on this fund due 1st January, 1831, $120 00 Balance remaining in the Treasurer's hands last year, 37 86 157 86 There has been paid to indigent students during the past year out of this fund, 120 00 Balance in hand, 37 86 III. Indigent Students' Permanent Fund. To this fund nothing has been added to the $200 paid by James Bogert, Jun. for its commencement. IV. Indigent Students' Fund. 'Nothing has been received on account of this fund during the past year. V. Heyer Scholarship. The sum of $2500, devised by the late Mr. Isaac Heyer, is invested on bond secured by mortgage on property in the city of New York. There has been paid to John C. Van Liew, the benefi ciary on this fund, during the past year, VI. Permanent Professoral Fund of General Synod. $120 00 Under this head are included all the moneys which have been collected and invested on the subscriptions for the second and third Professorships, as well as the moneys formerly belonging to this fund, exclusive of the donation of Isaac Heyer, which was included in this fund in the last year's account. Mann, and the Elder, John Ingold, be a Committee to report to Synod a nomination of twice the number of persons who constitute the Board of Directors under the charter. The Committee reported accordingly, and the Synod proceeded to ballot for a President, three Directors, and a Treasurer of the Corporation-when Mr. Isaac L. Kip was chosen President; Messrs. Cornelius Heyer, Rev. Wm. M'Murray, D. D. and Abraham Van Nest, were chosen Directors, and Mr. Isaac Young was chosen Treasurer of the Corporation. ARTICLE V. Correspondence. A number of copies of the minutes of the sessions of the Synod of the German Reformed Church for 1829 and 1830, were laid on the table of Synod. A copy of the letter addressed to the Protestant Reformed Church of France, by the committee appointed for that purpose in June, 1829, was laid before Synod, accompanied with certain answers to the same, which had been received during the past year. A letter was received from the Stated Clerk of the General Synod of the Associate Reformed Church, on the subject of the proposed |
