The Session continued from the first to the tenth day of June inclusive. FORMATION OF SYNOD. ARTICLE I. Opening of Synod. The Synod was opened with prayer by the Rev. Wilhelmus Eltinge, the President of the last General Synod; who preached a sermon in the evening of the first day of the Session, from Genesis xlv. 24. Van Vranken having obtained leave of absence on the afternoon of the first day of the session, Synod proceeded to the election of an Adsessor in his place, when the Rev. Philip Duryea was chosen. ARTICLE IV. Reading of the Minutes. The Minutes of the last Annual Session of Synod were read. * Succeeded on the sixth day of the Session by the Rev. John H.
