Eichmann in Jerusalem: ein Bericht von der Banalität des Bösen

Cover
Piper, 1964 - 344 Seiten
In his introduction to the 1986 edition, Mommsen criticizes several aspects of Hannah Arendt's thesis. In general, her work reflects a lack of access to documents in the early 1960s and the use of journalistic information without historical verification. Her interpretation is incomplete and sometimes paradoxical. Nevertheless, some of the questions she raised have not been adequately studied, among them the German people's knowledge about the Holocaust.
