Another Amendment proposed, in page 3, line 16, to leave out the words "or acquired by the Board,” in order to insert the words "by authorised undertakers having powers so to do or, failing them, by persons on whom the necessary powers may be conferred as hereinafter provided" -(Mr. Balfour), ---instead thereof.-Question, "That the words proposed to be left out stand part of the Clause," put, and agreed to.

Another Amendment made, in page 3, line 20, after the word "providing," by inserting the words "subject to the provisions of section nine of this Act"-(Mr. AttorneyGeneral).

"Provided further that the Electricity Commissioners, in preparing a scheme dealing with sections four (1) (a), (b) and (d) of this Act within the area of a joint electricity authority or other body formed under the provisions of section six of The Electricity (Supply) Act, 1919, and any Act amending the same, shall first consult such joint electricity authority or other body upon the proposals to be embodied in such a scheme so far as they affect any generating station, either an existing station or a proposed new station or main transmission line, or owners of a generating station within the district of such joint electricity authority or other body "-(Mr. Attlee).
