(3) The Board shall publish as soon as may be in each month statistics of the number of units of electricity generated at and sold from the stations under its control during the preceding calendar month. Such statistics shall show both the production and sale of electricity for Great Britain as a whole and for such several convenient areas as the Board in consultation with the Electricity Commissioners shall determine "-(Mr. Wiggins).

"The Board shall be deemed to be authorised undertakers for the purpose of section twenty-nine of The Electricity (Supply) Act, 1919 (which relates to the expenses of the Electricity Commissioners), as amended by section seven of The Electricity (Supply) Act, 1922"-(Sir Douglas Newton).

Another Amendment proposed, in page 15, after the Amendment last added, to add the words :

"(2) The interest and sinking fund charges in respect of any money borrowed by the Board for the payment of expenses incurred in effecting standardisation of frequency in pursuance of this Act shall be repayable to the Board by the Electricity Commissioners, and the sum so payable by the Electricity Commissioners shall be treated as part of their expenses, but shall be shown as a separate item in their accounts and in the demands for contributions made by them"-(Sir John Marriott).

Resolution of the House of 18th May read as follows:"Electricity Supply [Money],

That it is expedient to charge on the Consolidated Fund any sums required by the Treasury for fulfilling any guarantees of the payment of interest or principal on any loans raised under any Act of the present Session to amend the Law with respect to the supply of electricity which may be given by the Treasury under that Act."

Amendment proposed, in page 17, line 17, at the end, to insert the words: --

"Provided that no part of the moneys secured by the above-mentioned guarantees shall be expended on plant or machinery which has not been manufactured in the United Kingdom or the British Empire' (Colonel Burton).
