A Handbook of Early Muhammadan Tradition: Alphabetically Arranged

Cover
Brill, 1971 - 268 Seiten
The present book is not merely a forerunner to the large concordance to early hadith which has been in course of preparation since 1916. In the first place it does not register single traditions, but subjects; and through an alphabetic and more or less systematic arrangement of the materials it is hoped that the book will enable students of Islam to find what they want without much trouble. I have endeavored to register all subjects of any value for the class of students just mentioned, and all the places where they occur. - Introduction.
