89. Who is the rightful Lawgiver in Zion?

Mat. 23. 8. Be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ, and all ye are brethren. And call no man your Father upon the Earth: for one is your Father which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master even Christ.

90. Did the inspired apostles receive any peculiar ec-clesiastical authority to establish the christian dispensation?

Mat. 16. 19. I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.

Mat. 18. 18. Verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.

95. Are bishops, elders and pastors different names to signify the same office?

Ac. 20. 17. And called the elders of the church. 28. Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, [bishops] to feed the church of God.

96. Have one class of bishops, elders or pastors ecclesi tical authority over others?

Mat. 20. 25. Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

97. Upon whom was the authority of church discipline conferred?

Mat. 18. 15. Moreover, if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as a heathen man and a publican.

After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as often as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do show the Lord's death till he come. Mat. 26. 26. Lk.

99. Are christian ordinances a privilege?

Ps. 36. 8. They shall be abundantly satisfied with the fatness of thy house; and thou shalt make them drink of the river of thy pleasures.

Ps. 63. 1. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is, To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen 2. thee in the sanctuary.

Ps. 65. 4. Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.
