This medal was granted by the Spanish Government to the British troops who were engaged in the action of the Heights of St. Sebastian, 5th May, 1836. Obv.-A Maltese cross, with the words ST. SEBASTIAN, 5TH MAY-encircled by a laurel wreath. Rev.-A lion, enclosed within the collar of the golden fleece. Above is the word-ESPANA; and below -AGRADECIDA. Ribbon-Blue, with yellow edge.
