Participle.

Future. Futurus, -a, -um, About to be.)

Obf. 1. The personal pronouns, which in English are, for the most part, added to the verb, in Latin are commonly understood; because the several perfons are fufficiently diftinguished from one another by the different terminations of the verb, though the perfons themselves be not expreffed. The learner however at first may be accustomed to join them with the verb; thus, ego fum, I am; ta es, thou art, or you are; ille eft, he is; nos fumus, we are, &c. So ego ămo, I love; tu amas, thou loveft, or you love; ille amat, he loveth or loves; nos amamus, we love; &c.

Obf. 2. In the second perfon fingular in English, we commonly ufe the plural form, except in folemn discourse; as, tu es, thou art, or much oftener, you are; tu eras, thou waft, or you were; tu fis, thou mayft be, or you may be, &c. So tu amas, thou lovest, or you love; tu amabas, thou lovedft, or you loved, &.

(Verbs are thus varied in the different Conjugations.
