BIBLIOGRAPHY OF HYMNOLOGY We present here a list of works on hymnology which those interested in hymns and hymn writers and in Church music will find it helpful to consult. The list is not complete, being only a portion of the many volumes, old and new, which have been published on this subject. The authors of this volume, in preparing their notes and biographical sketches, have consulted many hundreds of volumes, including the original writings of all the more important writers whose hymns are found in this volume, many of the works consulted being now out of print.
