The present volume of the Laws of the State is printed in accordance with the Act regulating Public Printing, approved March 14, 1870, which provides that "the Public Laws shall be collated and printed in the front part of the volume." The Joint Resolutions and Proclamations by the Governor are also placed there, followed by a Table of Contents and Index. The Public Laws of a special character and the Private Acts follow in the natural order of their approval, with the Table of Contents and the Index at the close of the volume. HENRY C. KELSEY, |
