To fill this need a special Committee on Commercial Information Services was created in 1921 by former President Dorsey W. Hyde, Jr. This committee consisted of Mr. Herbert O. Brigham, Chairman, and Charlotte L. Carmody, Ethel Cleland, Mary Ferguson, Adelaide R. Hasse, Dorsey W. Hyde, Jr., (Miss) A. C. Kight, John J. Macfarlane, Lina Morley, Margaret Reynolds. The Committee on Commercial Information Services has been hard at work for the past two years and it has collected a vast amount of helpful data which are presented herewith. In transmitting this report it is safe to say that the Committee has made a notable contribution which will prove invaluable not only to the special librarian but to the business and general public as well.
