Frank E. Grizzard, Jr., is Director of the Lee Family Digital Archive, an online repository of the papers of the historical Lee family of Virginia. He formerly was Senior Associate Editor at the Papers of George Washington editorial project at the University of Virginia. A frequent lecturer on historical topics, his other publications on Americas First President include several volumes of edited correspondence and The Ways of Providence: Religion and George Washington. He is the author of The Hobby of My Old Age: Thomas Jefferson and the Construction of the University of Virginia, and co-author, with D. Boyd Smith, of The Jamestown Colony: An Encyclopedia. Mr. Grizzard is a native of Virginia and currently resides in Charlottesville with his wife and six children.
