Be it therefore enacted by the King's most Excellent Majesty by and with the advice and consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal and Commons in this present 10 Parliament assembled and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. The Orders set out in the schedule hereto shall be Orders in and the same are hereby confirmed and all the provisions schedule thereof shall have full validity and force.

Order.

BOROUGH OF DARLINGTON.

Provisional Order for altering certain Confirming Acts.

WHEREAS the Borough of Darlington (hereinafter referred to
as the Borough") is an Urban District of which the Mayor 5
Aldermen and Burgesses acting by the Council (hereinafter
referred to as "the Corporation") are the local authority for
the purposes of the Public Health Act 1875;

And whereas there are in force in the Borough the unrepealed provisions of the Darlington Extension and 10 Improvement Act 1872 as altered by certain Provisional Orders duly confirmed by Parliament and including the Darlington Order 1902 (hereinafter referred to as "the Order of 1902 ") which was confirmed by the Local Government Board's Provisional Orders Confirmation (No. 9) Act 1902 (hereinafter 15 referred to as "the Confirming Act of 1902") and the Darlington Order 1912 (hereinafter referred to as "the Order of 1912") which was confirmed by the Local Government Board's Provisional Orders Confirmation (No. 3) Act 1912 (hereinafter referred to as "the Confirming Act of 1912");

And whereas by Article I. of the Order of 1902 as altered by Article I. of the Order of 1912 the Corporation were empowered with the sanction of the Local Government Board to borrow such sums not exceeding in the whole the sum of one hundred thousand pounds as might from time to time be 25 necessary for the purposes of their water undertaking in addition to the moneys previously authorised to be borrowed for those purposes;

And whereas it is expedient that the Confirming Acts of 1902 and 1912 should be altered in manner hereinafter 30 appearing:

Now therefore the Minister of Health in pursuance of the powers given to him by Section 297 of the Public Health Act 1875 and of any other powers enabling him in that behalf hereby orders that from and after the date of the Act of Parlia- 35 ment confirming this Order the Confirming Act of 1902 and the Confirming Act of 1912 so far as they respectively relate to

the Order of 1902 and the Order of 1912 shall be altered so
that the following provisions shall have effect that is to say :-

1. Article I. of the Order of 1912 shall have effect as if the words "one hundred and sixty-five thousand pounds" were 5 therein substituted for the words " one hundred thousand pounds."

Holland

Order.

COUNTY OF THE PARTS OF HOLLAND. Provisional Order made in pursuance of subsection (2) of Section 69 of the Local Government Act, 1888. WHEREAS the County Council of the Administrative County of the Parts of Holland (which Council and County are hereinafter respectively referred to as "the County Council" and "the County") propose to borrow with the consent of the Minister of 20 Health and subject to the provisions of the Local Government 51 & 52 Vict. Act 1888 (hereinafter referred to as "the Act ") certain sums of c. 41. money which if borrowed will together with the total debt of the County Council after deducting the amount of any sinking fund exceed the amount which the County Council are autho25 rised to borrow under the Act;

And whereas the County Council have made application to the Minister of Health for the issue of a Provisional Order to increase the amount which may be borrowed by the County Council as hereinafter mentioned:

Now therefore the Minister of Health in pursuance of the powers given to him by Section 69 of the Act and of any other powers in that behalf hereby orders that from and after the date of the Act of Parliament confirming this Order the following provisions shall have effect (that is to say) :

1. Subject to and in accordance with the provisions of the Additional Act the County Council may from time to time borrow such borrowing sums as may be required to an amount not exceeding in the powers.

Provisional Orders Confirmation (No. 1).

County of the aggregate the sum of eighty thousand pounds in excess of the limit imposed by the provisions of subsection (2) of Section 69 of the Act.

Parts of Holland Order. Short title.

2. This Order may be cited as the County of the Parts of Holland Order 1922.

CITY OF NOTTINGHAM.

Provisional Order for amending certain Local Acts.

WHEREAS the City of Nottingham (hereinafter referred to as
"the City") is an Urban Sanitary District of which the Mayor
Aldermen and Citizens acting by the Council (hereinafter 15
referred to as "the Corporation") are the local authority for the
purposes of the Public Health Act 1875 and there are in force
in the City the unrepealed provisions of the Nottingham Cor-
poration Loans Act 1880 the Nottingham Corporation Act 1882
the Nottingham Corporation Act 1883 and the Nottingham 20
Corporation Act 1894 (each of which Acts is hereinafter referred
to as the Act of the year in which it was made and which Acts
are hereinafter together referred to as "the Local Acts");

And whereas by the Local Acts the Corporation were empowered to exercise certain statutory borrowing powers by 25 the creation and issue of stock to be called Nottingham Corporation Stock" which stock the Corporation are not entitled to redeem except by agreement with the holder or holders thereof and in pursuance of those powers the Corporation from time to time issued such stock (hereinafter referred to as 30 Corporation stock ");

And whereas in pursuance of the provisions of Section 33
of the Act of 1880 the Corporation established the Nottingham
Corporation Loans Fund (hereinafter referred to as "the Loans
Fund") for the purpose of paying dividends on and redeeming 35
Corporation stock;

And whereas by Section 7 of the Act of 1894 provision is made for the application of the Loans Fund in payment of the
