HYMN CCI. C. M.

1 AM I a soldier of the cross,

follow'r of the Lamb?

And shall I fear to own his cause,
Or blush to speak his name?

No! Glory, Hallelujah,
Praise ye our God,

No! Glory, Hallelujah,

Love and serve the Lord.

2. Must I be carri'd to the skies, On flow'ry beds of ease;

H. O.

While others fought to win the prize,
And sail'd thro' bloody seas?

No! Glery, &c.

3 Are there no foes for me to face?-

Must I not stem the flood?

Is this vile world a friend to grace,
To help me on to God?

No! Glory, &c:

4 Sure I must fight, if I would reign,
Increase my courage, Lord!
I'll bear the toil, endure the pain,
Supported by thy word.

Fes! Glory, &c.

5 Thy saints, in all this glorious war,
Shall conquer tho' they die;

They see the triumph from afar,
And seize it with their eye..

R

Yes! Glory, &c.

6 When that illustrious day shall rise,
And all thy armies shine

In robes of vict'ry thro' the skies,
The glory shall be thine.

Yes! Glory, Hallelujah,

Praise ye our God;

Yes-Glory, Hallelujah,

THERE is a heav'n in yonder sky,
A heav'n where pleasures never die,

A heav'n I sometimes hope to see,
Again I fear 'tis not for me;

But Jesus, Jesus, is my friend,
O Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Jesus, Jesus, is my friend.

2 The way is difficult and straight,
And narrow is the gospel gate;
Ten thousand dangers are therein-
Ten thousand snares to take us in.
But Jesus, Jesus, &c.

3 I'm trav❜ling thro' a world of foes
Thro' conflicts sore my spirit goes;
The tempter cries, I ne'er shall stand,
To reach fair Canaan's happy land.
But Jesus, Jesus, &c.

4 The way of dangers I am in,
Beset with devils, men and sin;

But in that wearied track I see,
And mark'd with blood it seems to be.
That Jesus, Jesus, &c.

5 These were the footsteps of my Lord,
When on the cross he bore my load:
'Twas on that dark! that doleful day!
With streams of blood he mark'd the way.
O Jesus, Jesus, &c.

6 Come life, come death, come then what will, His footsteps I will follow still;

Thro' dangers thick, and hell's alarms,
I shall be safe in Jesu's arms.

Sweet Jesus, Jesus, &c.

7 Then, O my soul arise and sing,
Behold thy Saviour, God and King,
With love and pleasure in his eyes,
He cries, press on, for here's thy prize.
Sweet Jesus, Jesus, &c.

8 Prove faithful yet a few more days,
Fight the good fight, and end your race,
And then thy soul with me shall reign,
Thy head a crown of glory gain.

Sweet Jesus, Jesus, &c.

HYMN CCIII. L. M.

The Urim and Thummim.

H. C.

FOR an angel's tongue to raise,
A cheerful song of boundless praise;
Our raptur'd souls are on the wing,
While we the heav'nly Urim sing.

2 The seven attributes of God
Unfolded in his heav'nly word,
Compose the URIM all divine,
The lights which now on Zion shine.
3 Zion rejoice, thy light is come;
Thy native glory now resume;
Put on thy glorious robes of praise
And hail these long expected days.
4 The Thummim now, presents to view,
A wond'rous scene of glories too;
The five perfections of the Son,
By which the Father's work is done.
5 The Thummim is the word and rod,
The agent, or the hand of God,
By which he form'd creation's frame,
And still by which he rules the same.
6 The two in combination make
The sceptre which the Lord will take,
His pow'r and glory to display,
And reign in the MILLENNIAL DAY.

7 Hail mighty Prince, thy lovely charms
Inflame my soul, my bosom warms;
Inspir'd by love, we'll join to tell,
The glories of Immanuel.

HYMN CCIV. C. M.

H. C.

1 IN God's own church pronounce his praise His grace he there reveals;

To heav'n our joy and wonder raise,
For there his glory dwells.
2 Let all our sacred passions move,
While we rehearse his deeds;
But the great work of saving love
Our highest praise exceeds.

3 All that have motion, life and breath,
Proclaim your Maker bless'd;
When we surmount the pow'r of death,
Our souls shall praise him best.

HYMN CCV. L. M.

Concert.

H. C.

1 MILLENNIUM converts join and sing.

Loud anthems to your heav'nly ing

Who did your souls from bondage bring,
O make the earth with praises ring,
While angels join in concert.

2 The Halcyon morning bids us rise;
It opens our benighted eyes;
Press on to gain the heav'nly prize,
And raise your voices to the skies,
While angels join in concert.

3 Our happy souls are now set free,
From bondage into liberty;
Now we may always cheerful be;
O come and sing along with me,
While angels join in concert.

4 O sinners turn and come away;
O turn and leave your sins to-day;
