6 But drops of tears can ne'er repay
The debt of love I owe;

Here Lord, I give myself away,
'Tis all that I can do.

O! the Lamb, &c.

HYMN CXVI. P. M.

On the approach of the Millennium.

1 ΤΗ

H. C.

HAT glorious day is drawing nigh,
When Zion's light shall shine;

She shall arise and shine on high;
Bright as the morning sun.
The north and south their sons resign,
And earth's foundation's bend;
Adorn'd the bride, Jerusalem,

All glorious shall descend.

2 The king who wears the glorious crown,
The azure flaming bow,
That holy city shall bring down,
To bless his saints below.

When Zion's bleeding conq'ring King
Shall sin and death destroy,
The morning stars shall sweetly sing,
And Zion shout for joy.

3 The holy bright musician band,
Who play on harps of gold,
In holy order see, they stand,
Fair Salem to behold;

Ascending on such melting strains,
Jehovah they adore,

Such shouts thro' earth's extensive plains,
Were never heard before.

Let Satan rage and boast no more,
Nor think he's reigning long,
Tho' Saints are feeble, weak, and poor,
Their great Redeemer's strong.
He is their shield and hiding place,
A covert from the wind,

A stream of love and flow of grace,
Runs through this weary land.

5 The chrystal streams run down from heav'n,
They issue from the throne;
The floods of strife away are driv'n,
The church becomes but one.
This peaceful union we shall know
And live upon his love,

And shout and sing of grace below
As angels do above.

6 A thousand years shall roll around,
The Church shall be complete,
Call'd by the glorious trumpet's sound,
Their Saviour Christ to meet;
They rise with joy, and mount on high,
They fly to Jesu's arms,

And gaze with wonder and delight,
On their beloved's charms.

HYMN CXVII. L. M.
Union Hymn.

1 FROM

H. C.

ROM whence doth this, union arise,
That hatred is conquer'd by love ?

It fastens our souls in such ties, As nature and time can't remove. 2 It cannot in Eden be found, Nor yet in a Paradise lost; It grows on Immanuels ground, And Jesu's rich blood it did cost. 3 My friends are so dear unto me, Our hearts are united in love; Where Jesus is gone we shall be, In yonder bright mansions above. 4 O why then so loath for to part? Since there we shall all meet again; Engrav'd on Immanuel's heart,

From Zion we cannot remain.

5 And when we shall see that bright day,
And join with the angels above,
There free from these bodies of clay,
We'll sing of Immanuel's love.

6 With Jesus we ever shall reign,
And all his bright glories we'll see.
There sing Hallelujah, Amen!
Amen, even so let it be.

HYMN CXVIII. C. M.
Millennium Morn.

ALUTE the morn, my soul rejoice,
The bridegroom now appears;
The spouse is call'd to hear his voice
And wipe away her tears.

2 Rise up my love and come away
His friendly voice invites;
From night, she's called into day,
T' enjoy her native rights.

3 The light breaks in, the night's no more; Gross darkness is dispell'd;

The bride enjoys a heavenly store,
Her riches are unveil'd.

4 Of heav'nly blessings now possess❜d,
She rises into joy :

With liberty and peace she's blest,
Her sweets shall never cloy.

5 Divinely rais'd above the earth,
To themes beyond the sky,
Her soul is fill'd with heav'nly mirth,
Where pleasures never die.

6 Transporting thought, celestial state;
Awake my muse and sing,
And while the glories I relate
Adore the heav'nly Bang.

7 Rise then, my soul, to worlds above,
Leave earthly joys behind;

Admire and praise redeeming love,
In transports unconfin'd.

The jubile sound awakes the dead;
Dry bones begin to stir :

The standard's rais'd, the foe is fled,
And Zion weeps no more,

9 The trumpet sounds the great release From darkness, sin and woe; Unbounded love and constant peace From Jesus ever flow.

HYMN CXIX. P. M.

The Invitation.

ARK! the Jubilee is sounding,
O! the joyful news is come;
Great salvation is proclaiming,
In and thro' God's only Son;
Now we have an invitation

To the meek and lowly Lamb;
Glory, honour and salvation,

Christ the Lord is come to reign.

H. C.

Come dear friends, and dont neglect it,
Come to Jesus in your prime;
Great salvation, dont reject it,
O receive it, now's your time:
Now the Saviour is beginning
To revive his work again,

Glory, &c.

3 Now, O let us cease from sinning,
Come and follow Christ the Way
We shall all receive a blessing,
If from him we do not stray:
Golden moments we've neglected,
Oh! the time we've spent in vain.
Glory, &c.
