deed, in whom there is no guile.' Nathanael saith to him: Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said to him: Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig-tree, I saw thee. Nathanael answered him, and said : Rabbi, thou art the Son of God, thou art the King of Israel. Jesus answered, and said to him: Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig-tree, thou believest: greater things than these shalt thou see. And he saith to him: Amen, amen I say to you, you shall see the heaven opened, and the Angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man.

EPISTLE. Rom. X. 10. 18.-Brethren: With the heart we believe unto justice: but, with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith : Whosoever believeth in him, shall not be confounded. For there is no distinction of the Jew and the Greek: for the same is Lord over all, rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. How then shall they call on him, in whom they have not believed? Or how shall they believe him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear, without a preacher? And how shall they preach, unless they be sent? as it is written: How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, of them that bring good tidings of good things? But all do not obey the gospel. For Isaias saith : Lord, who hath believed our report ? Faith then cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of Christ. But I say: have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound hath gone forth into all the eurth, and their words unto the ends of the whole world.

GOSPEL, Matt. iv. 18. 22.--At that time : Jesus walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers). And he saith to them : Come ye after me, and I will make you to be fishers of men. And they immediately leaving their nets, followed him. And going on from thence, he saw two other brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets: and he called them. And they forthwith left their nets and father, and followed him. CREDO.

GOSPEL. Mark xvi. 15. 18. At that time : Jesus said to his disciples : Go ye into the whole world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptised, shall be saved : but he that believeth not, shall be condemned. And these signs shall follow them that believe: In my name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues: they shall take up serpents: and if they shall drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them: they shall lay their hands upon the sick, and they shall recover.

EPISTLE. Heb. xii. 7. 17.-.-Brethren : Remember your prelates who have spoken the word of God to you: whose faith follow, considering the end of their couversation. Jesus Christ yesterday anil 10-day: and the same for ever. Be not led away with various and strange doctrines. For it is best that the heart be established with grace, not with meais: which have not profited those that walk in them. We hay an altar, whereof they have no power to eat who serve the tabernacle. For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the Holies by the high-priest for sin are burned without the camp. Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people by his own blood, suffered without the gate. Let us go forth therefore to him without the camp, bearing his reproach. For we have not here a lasting city, but we seek one that is to come. By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise always to God, that is to say, the fruit of lips confessing to his name. And do not forget to de good and to impart; for by such sacrifices God's favour is obtained. Obey your prelates, and be sub. ject to them. For they watch, as being to render an account of your souls.
