I. SUPPLEMENTARY ESTIMATE of the Amount required in the Year ending 31 March 1926 to pay the Salaries and Expenses of the MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND SUBORDINATE DEPARTMENTS, including the Contributions to the Unemployment Fund, and Payments to Associations, Local Education Authorities and others for Administration under the Unemployment Insurance and Labour Exchanges Acts; Expenditure in connection with the Training of Demobilised Officers, Non-Commissioned Officers and Men, and Nurses; Grants for Resettlement in Civil Life; and the Expenses of the Industrial Court; also Expenses in connection with the International Labour Organisation (League of Nations), including a Grant in Aid.

I. CONTRIBUTION TO THE UNEMPLOYMENT FUNDThe amount of the contribution from the Exchequer to the Unemployment Fund is dependent upon the contributions paid to the Fund by employers and employed. These are expected to exceed the Estimate, with a consequent increase in the contribution from the Exchequer

A.-GUARANTEES IN RESPECT OF EXPORTS OF GOODS
WHOLLY OR PARTLY PRODUCED OR MANU-
FACTURED IN THE UNITED KINGDOM-
The amount required for implementing during the year
ending 31st March, 1926, guarantees given to Exporters
or Banks in the United Kingdom in respect of exports
of goods, wholly or partly produced or manufactured
in the United Kingdom and shipped abroad, has been
larger than was anticipated, but it is expected that a
considerable part of the additional sum now required
will be recovered ultimately from the exporters and
appropriated in aid of the Vote in 1926 or subsequent
years...

It has been found possible, by improved administrative
methods, to expedite the recovery from exporters of
sums due from them in respect of guarantees which the
Government has been called upon to implement
