A.-BRITISH GOVERNMENT EXHIBIT (1925). (RE-
VOTE)-

The opening date of the British Empire Exhibition was
postponed and, in consequence, certain expenditure pro-
vided for in 1924-25 in connection with the preparation
of the exhibit fell into the current year

B.-DISPLAYS (1925)—

Further provision is required to meet the cost of the exten-
sion of the Torchlight and Searchlight Tattoo for a period
of five weeks longer than was anticipated, and for payment
to Service Charities of donations, amounting to £4,000 in
all, in consideration of the participation of Service per-
sonnel in the Tattoo

C.-APPROPRIATIONS IN AID

The receipts accruing to His Majesty's Government in
respect of the 1925 Exhibition are now estimated to
amount to £135,000. The balance not appropriated in
aid of the Vote (estimated at £24.500) will be surrendered
to the Exchequer as an Extra Receipt

approved capital works to (a) Local Authorities and
Statutory Bodies, in respect of non-revenue producing
undertakings not exceeding the equivalent of 75 per cent.
of interest and sinking fund charges for half the loan
period, up to a limit of 15 years, and (b) Local Authorities,
Statutory Bodies and Public Utility Companies in respect
of revenue-producing undertakings not exceeding the
equivalent of 50 per cent. of interest at an approved rate
for a period of 15 years
