(b) Certain Inspectors of Taxes in Scotland, who are Assessors under the Lands Valuation Act, and who have consequently to perform the duties of Registrars of Voters, receive allowances (not exceeding 1001, in any instance) from the sums paid to the Inland Revenue by the Local Authorities in respect of the work of preparing the Voters' Rolls, &c. (c) A number of these Officers are in receipt of allowances of 501. for performing the duties in respect of unfilled posts of Tax Officers, Higher Grade. (4) A number of these Officers are in receipt of allowances of 301. for performing the duties in respect of unfilled posts of Tax Officers.
