4 The Lord's apostles there

I might with joy behold; The harpers I might hear

6 Ah me! ah me! that I

In Kedar's tents here stay!
No place like that on high;

Lord, thither guide my way!
O happy place! when shall I be,
My God, with Thee, to see Thy face?

Amen. SAMUEL CROSSMAN

2 Fount of all our joy and peace,

To Thy living waters lead me; Thou from earth my soul release,

And with grace and mercy feed me; Bless Thy word that it may prove Rich in fruits that Thou dost love.

4 Let me with my heart to-day,

Holy, holy, holy, singing,
Rapt awhile from earth away,

All my soul to Thee up-springing,
Have a foretaste inly given,
How they worship Thee in heaven.

3 Kindle Thou the sacrifice

That upon my lips is lying; Clear the shadows from mine eyes

That, from every error flying, No strange fire may in me glow That Thine altar doth not know,

5 Hence all care, all vanity,

For the day to God is holy:
Come, thou gracious majesty,

Deign to fill this temple lowly;
Naught to-day my soul shall move.

Simply resting in Thy love. Amen. BENJAMIN SCHMOLCK. Tr. CATHERINE WINKWORTH

5 O great and glorious vision!

6 O Lamb of God Who reignest!
The Lamb upon His throne;

Thou Bright and Morning Star,
O wondrous sight for man to see! Whose glory lightens that new earth
The Saviour with His own:

Which now we see from far!
To drink the living waters

O worthy Judge eternal!
And stand upon the shore,

When Thou dost hid us come,
Where neither sorrow, sin, nor death, Then open wide the gates of pearl,
Shall ever enter more.

And call Thy servants home. Amen.

4 Therefore in our hymns we pray Thee,

Grant us, blessèd Trinity,
At the last to see Thy glory

In our home beyond the sky;
There to Thee forever singing

Alleluia joyfully. Amen.
