You', pro'perly fpeaking, is the 2d pers on plural; but is, complaifant'ly, applied to one as well' as to more pers'ons, and always takes a plural verb; as, you a're and ev'er we're my friend; ladie's and gentlemen you or ye a're and ev'er ha've been' ver'y obligʻing: But, we nev'er 'fe the sing'ular instead' of RULE 5th.
