OME Reafons will be Expected why the following Letter is publifhed at this Time, when Queftions of another Nature, and So much higher Concern, are the Subjects of our prefent Debates. It was written many Years ago, when the Cafe of Baptifm was the Question in Dispute.— The Succefs it then met with in convincing the Perfon to whom it was addreffed, of the Neceffity of Lawful Baptism, and the happy Confequence of that Baptifm, vifibly appearing in a Life answerable to the good Profeffion the then made before many Witnesses, and bearing Teftimony to the Truth of thofe Principles, which prevailed with her, Regularly to come into, and faithfully adhere to the Church of England ever fince: to [b] which
