The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The highway in the town of Primrose, Legalized. Dane county, Wisconsin, running and extending from the west side of the town of Montrose, in said county, on the south line of sections thirteen (13), fourteen (14) and fifteen (15), in said town of Primrose, to the Bellville and Mount Vernon road in said town of Primrose, is hereby declared to be a legal highway, and the section lines above specified to be the center line thereof, and said highway to be three rods wide, and all the acts of the supervisors in laying out said highway are hereby declared to be legal notwithstanding the statutes may not in all respects have been complied with.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 42.

AN ACT to authorize the removal of the dead from certain lan in the town of Spring Valley in the county of Rock.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in sena and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The board of supervisors of the tow of Spring Valley, in the county of Rock, are herel authorized and empowered to remove the remains all deceased persons interred on the southwest quart of section three (3) in said town of Spring Valley an cause such remains to be decently and properly inte red in a public cemetery or burial place.

SECTION 2. In case the said board of superviso who authorized ail to remove such remains as authorized by sectio one of this act, within three months after the passa of this act, it shall be lawful for N. N. Palmer, of sa town of Spring Valley, to cause such removal to t made at his own cost and expense.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in for ffrom and after its passage.

AN ACT to legalize the proceedings of an annual school meeting joint school district No. 3, towns of Trenton and Saukville.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in sena and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The proceedings of the annual scho meeting of joint school district No. 8, of the towns Trenton and Saukville, held in the village of Newburg county of Washington, September 30th, 1867, to rais $3,000 for the purpose of building a school house, wit other taxes of said district, for the years 1867, 186

and 1869, in equal portions, $1,000 each of said years, are hereby legalized and declared valid and binding.

SECTION 2. The first $1,000, if not collected with other taxes for the year 1867, shall be levied and collected immediately after the passage of this act, according to law.

SECTION 3. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the supervisors of the county of Ozaukee to borrow a certain sum of money.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. The supervisors of the county of May borrow Ozaukee are hereby authorized and empowered to borrow any sum of money not exceeding two thousand dollars, for a length of time not exceeding two years, and at a rate of interest not exceeding ten per centum per annum, for the purpose of meeting a deficiency occasioned by a failure of the clerk of the board of supervisors to keep on hand and pay over to his successor in office certain redemption moneys, due to different parties whose lands or lots were sold for taxes and afterwards redeemed.

SECTION 2. The loan so obtained shall be devoted exclusively for the purposes indicated in the first section of this act.

How fees to be assessed and disposed of.

CHAPTER 45,

AN ACT for maintaining an abstract of tax sales in Monroe county.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. It shall be the duty of the clerk of the board of supervisors for the county of Monroe in the state of Wisconsin, to keep up and maintain the abstract of tax sales now belonging to said county, and post and note therein all sales made by said county for taxes, and to note in a conspicuous manner all tax deeds and redemptions, for which services the said clerk shall receive the sum of five (5) cents for each tract entered in such abstract in each year, commencing with the sale of 1868, to be paid from the county treasury.

SECTION 2. Whenever redemptions are made, or deeds for taxes are executed, the said clerk shall add to the fees now authorized by law for the same the sum of five (5) cents for each tract so redeemed or deeded, which said additional fees when so collected shall by said clerk be paid into the county treasury, the same as his other fees.

SECTION 3. This act shall be in force and take effect from and after its passage. Approved February 13, 1868.

CHAPTER 46.

AN ACT to amend section one (1), chapter 418, private and local laws of 1867, entitled "an act to legalize a certain highway."

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly do enact as follows:

SECTION 1. Chapter 418, private and local laws of 1867, is hereby amended so as to read as follows: The highway in the town of Center in the county of Rock, running on or near the section lines between sections

24 and 25, 23 and 26, 22 and 27, and 21 and 28 in said town of Center, is hereby declared to be a legal highway, and the section lines above specified to be the center line thereof, and said highway to be four rods in width.

AN ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of Pierce to transfer to the general fund the moneys collected for a jail tax, assessed in 1867.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follow:
