Resolved by the Legislative Assembly of the Territory of Minnesola, That the Secretary of the Territory be, and he is hereby authorized to expend the sum of two hundred dollars out of any moneys in his hands for legislative purposes, for the purchase of Annals of 1853, of the "Minnesota Historical Society." One-half of the copies so procured, to be deposited at the Territorial Library, and the remainder distributed among the members of the present Legislative Assembly: Provided, That if the Annals are not published before the close of this session, the copies to which the members will be entitled to, will be deposited in the care of the Secretary of the Historical Society, to be by him retained until caalled for by the persons entitled to them.

Joint Resolution relative to the establishment of an Emigrant Route to Oregon and California.

Emigrant route to Oregon.

WHEREAS, The citizens of Minnesota look with anxiety to the Survey and Marking of an Emigrant Route to Oregon and California as of inestimable advantage to this Territory; And Whereas, The Hon. Wm. Nobles is about to leave for Washington, to lay the subject before the proper authorities at Washington. Therefore,

Resolved by the House, (the Council concurring,) That our citizens who now are, or who may be at the seat of Government, be requested to aid Mr. Nobles, as far as they may be able, in the consummation of his designs in this regard.

Resolved, (the Council concurring,) That the Secretary of the Territory shall cause all Laws, Memorials and Joint Resolutions, passed by the Legislative Assembly, to be printed in at least two newspapers published in this Territory.
