THE ford, Worcester, and Lichfield-contained in the present division of the Handbook, have all undergone extensive restoration and repair during the last few years. Acknowledgment of much kind assistance and revision is due to Mr. Pope, architect to the Dean and Chapter at Bristol; to Mr. Waller, at Gloucester; to Mr. Perkins, at Worcester; and lastly, to Mr. G. G. Scott, R.A., under whom the cathedrals of Hereford and Lichfield have been restored to their ancient beauty.
