and gifts to each sup - ply, And clothe Thy priests with righteousness. A-men.

2

Within Thy temple when we stand,

To teach the truth, as taught by Thee,
Saviour, like stars in Thy right hand
The angels of the Churches be.

3

Wisdom and zeal and faith impart,

Firmness and meekness from above,

To bear Thy people on our heart,

And love the souls whom Thou dost love;

4

To watch and pray and never faint;

By day and night strict guard to keep;

To warn the sinner, cheer the saint,
Nourish Thy lambs, and feed Thy sheep.

5

Then, when our work is finished here,
In humble hope our charge resign;

When the chief Shepherd shall appear,

O God, may they and we be Thine. Amen.

drop-pest glistening dew di- vine On all who seek a Saviour's love. A-men.

2

Do Thou Thy benediction give

On all who teach, on all who learn,
That so Thy Church may holier live,
And every lamp more brightly burn.

3

Give those, who teach, pure hearts and wise,
Faith, hope, and love, all warmed by prayer;
Themselves first training for the skies,

They best will raise their people there.

4

Give those, who learn, the willing ear,
The spirit meek, the guileless mind;
Such gifts will make the lowliest here
Far better than a kingdom find.

5

O bless the shepherd; bless the sheep;
That guide and guided both be one,
One in the faithful watch they keep,
Until this hurrying life be done.

6

If thus, good Lord, Thy grace be given,
In Thee to live, in Thee to die,
Before we upward pass to heaven,
We taste our immortality. Amen.
