ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR CURRENT YEAR

The remarkable growth in the circulation of the Educator-Journal
may be accounted for as follows: (1) It is thoroughly modern and
practical. The broad and vigorous editorial policy appeals to
progressive teachers. It is an inspiration to young teachers espec-
ially, and most helpful because of the carefully prepared articles
upon the books adopted for the Indiana Teachers' Reading Circle.
(2) Subscriptions are discontinued upon expiration. (3) The
Educator-Journal is clubbed only with other standard periodicals.
The teachers are entitled to the best combinations obtainable.
PRIMARY EDUCATION AND POPULAR EDUCATOR
The state agency for these very excellent educational journals was
tendered us without our making application for same. Like the Ed-
ucator-Journal they have a national circulation because of their
superior merits.

POINTS OF SUPERIOR EXCELLENCE

Primary Education excels in practical helps for the teachers in ele-
mentary grades, including model lessons in spelling, reading, lan-
guage, numbers, geography, drawing, paper cutti g, phonic games
and drills, games for the play-ground, health talks, morning exercises,
etc. The suggestions for seat work, games and action songs to re-
lieve long periods for the little ones are most helpful to the inexperi-
enced teachers in either the country or city schools.

Many thousands of American teachers commend especially the pop-
ular Educator because of its model lessons, studies in literature,
dramatizations; also many other interesting features. The new de-
partment, "Everyday Problems," to be conducted by Dr. M. V.
O'Shea, Head of the Pedagogical Department in the University of
Wisconsin, will be most practical.
