GUILDFORD CORPORATION BILL (continued).

Mr. CRAIG HENDERSON, K.C., was heard in support of the Petition of the Woking Water and Gas Company with regard to the supply of an extra 250,000 gallons of water per day.

Mr. FRANCIS JAMES BANCROFT and Mr. WALTER LEVY NICHOLSON sworn and examined.

The Chairman stated that the Committee were unwilling to impose a statutory obligation on the Corporation to supply over 500,000 gallons in 24 hours to the Woking Water and Gas Company, but were willing to insert a Clause in the Bill giving power to increase the supply by agreement.

Mr. JEEVES, K.C., stated that in order to carry out the decision of the Committee it would be necessary to introduce a new Clause.

The Chairman directed the Promoters to bring up a new Clause to carry out the decision of the Committee.
