Patrick Suskind is the author of Perfume and The Pigeon, both available as Bloomsbury Classics, and The Story of Mr Sommer. He wrote The Double-Bass in 1980 and it has been since performed all over Germany and at the Edinburgh Festival. He lives in Munich.
