Michael C. Fanning is married to Larissa Isabell Diener. He was born on the 7th April 1987 in Libreville, Gabon and became vegetarian at only 18 years old. His good grades granted him a National Scholarship which fully funded his relocation to Cape Town, South Africa in order to pursue a University degree in Information Systems, after graduating high school. Between age 21 and 29, he successfully co-founded 10 start-up companies, which means he has only been a serial entrepreneur his whole professional life and therefore only held the following titles; Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

In 2018, he was selected by the German Government to present his entrepreneurial achievements in Stuttgart, Germany, during the Autumn School for Sustainable Entrepreneurship. He got engaged to his best friend, Larissa Isabell Diener later on that same year near the Eiffel Tower, in Paris, France.

In 2019, he founded PhilTech Business Academy, an online learning academy educating young aspiring founders on the Fundamental Principles of Sustainable Entrepreneurship. His perpetual efforts to provide affordable quality entrepreneurship education to entrepreneurs led him to be invited by the President of Egypt, His Excellency Abdul Fattah El-sisi, to take part in the Arab & African Youth Platform in Aswan, Egypt, where he received a training on Social Entrepreneurship facilitated by Nelson & Winnie Mandela's grandson; Zondwa Mandela. He also was invited to take part in the 2nd Edition of the Pan African Youth Forum at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

In 2020 he has been the recipient of a NUN-Accredited qualification granted by the International Sustainability Academy (ISA) based at the WÄLDERHAUS in Hamburg, Germany. This full scholarship was granted to him to support his commitment to achieve the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) no. 4; QUALITY EDUCATION and no.8; DECENT WORK & ECONOMIC GROWTH.
