Senad Podojak

Senad Podojak (born 31 May 1966) is a Bosnian Islamic religious official in Austria. Podojak was born in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Podojak gaduated from the the Gazi Husrev-beg Medresa in Sarajevo. Podojak is internationally known as a Hafiz Qur'an reciter. He participated in 1987 at the International Competition for Quran recitation in Mecca, where he finished at 5th place. In Tehran, Podojak reached 4th place and 1st place in Vienna. In the 90s, he recorded an album of songs about the war in Bosnia with Yusuf Islam, Dino Merlin and Aziz Alili.
