Nana's Quiltis the story of Allie and her grandmother, who spend a summer exploring the city of St. John's. They visit six tourist attractions that make the city unique, and begin to make a quilt that illustrates each place. By summer's end, Allie appreciates the beauty and history of her city. The completed quilt is a lasting memory of her time with Nana. All of the artwork for this book was produced in conjunction with local artists by the children of Hazelwood Elementary School in St. John's, Newfoundland.

Kathy Windsor is a primary teacher who enjoys writing stories or poems to enhance lessons.

Kathy was born and lives in St. John#146s with her son, Benjamin. As a primary teacher she enjoys writing stories or poems to enhance lessons. During the days when she taught music, parts often had to be written for school concerts. And for many years Sunday school pageants have kept her busy. However, nothing can compare to the adventure of writing Nana's Quilt. What learning and what fun! Kathy teaches grade one at Hazelwood Elementary school in St. John#146s, Newfoundland.
