This novel contains five separate books that all center around two sisters, Sasha and Isabella. These two sisters are light complexion African American girls, ages 12 and 13 years old, trying to learn life lessons through their parents. Each story takes on a different approach to learning these lessons. None of the lessons they eventually learn are easy to digest!Isabella and Sasha face what just about every adolescent girl goes through in their young life. Unfortunately, while they persist to prove to others that the color of their skin does not define who they are on the insidetheir lives are constantly challenged because of their light complexions!
