Eric Milner Milner-WhitePhillimore, 1991 - 84 Seiten This volume commemorated the 50th anniversary of the installation (1941) of Eric Milner-White as Dean of York. He undertook the restoration of the Minster glass after the War, added considerably to the furnishings and fabrics in the building, and promoted the development of the distinguished musical tradition of York. The improvement of the Minster Library was among his major contributions. His permanent influence on York was not confined to his work for the life and worship of the Minster, but extended to the Diocese and Province. |
