This book is a transcription of the 1930 population census of Guam. It begins with an overview and some observations of the census in general. Each census page contained is simply a transcription from what was handwritten and into a type written format. It serves as a tool to make it a little easier for fellow genealogy researchers during the course of their work.

Bernard T. Punzalan is the founder and principal researcher and collaborator of the Chamorro Roots Genealogy Project at http://www.chamorroroots.com. This project is the genesis of transcribing and writing genealogy books for the Chamorro people indigenous to the Mariana Islands. He is the fourth of eight children born to Eustaquio Anderson Punzalan (Familian Che';/Pansi) and Rosita Leon Guerrero Cruz (Familian Matias/Jai/Mafongfong) of Tamuning. He is married to Josephine Marie Manibusan-Punzalan and has three sons: Brandon, Bryant and Bernard II. Bernard graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Guam with a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration and possesses a Masters of Public Administration from Bellevue University. Bernard is currently a Grants Manager at the Madigan Healthcare System, Joint Base Lewis-Mchord, Washington. He oversees and manages medical research grants and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements for the Army's Western Regional Medical Command.
