Toward a theology of the body

The term 'Body Theology' is rooted in the core mysteries of the Christian faith but has only recently become familiar. Prokes traces the major reasons for enduring ambivalence and misunderstanding regarding the body, and probes the profound meaning and vocation of embodiment found in Christian revelation and tradition. It is in this light that significant questions concerning sexuality, prayer, work, and Christianity are explored.
